One Million Cups is back at CVTC and stronger & smoother than ever (not just a coffee pun)!

Chippewa Valley Technical College will again be host for the Eau Claire chapter of One Million Cups, in the newly renovated LINC room, at 620 West Clairemont Ave.  One Million Cups is a national organization, developed by the Kauffman Foundation, named because at the meeting time, there could be a million people drinking coffee together to help promoted innovative thinking.

The weekly event is a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs by refining their “elevator pitch” and seeking out feedback from community members.  Over the summer months, Co-Lab, a shared working space for businesses, hosted One Million Cups weekly presentation. Now that school is back in session, One Million Cups is located back at CVTC.

First phase businesses, less than 5 years old, and new start-ups are encouraged to present. Also, existing businesses that have taken their model in a new direction are also encouraged to present.  The typical presentation format is 6-10 minutes of presentation, which could include a digital presentation. The next step is a Question & Answer session with the audience, which usually includes college students, entrepreneurs, business owners and service providers.   Presenters can expect to take away feedback & solutions to barriers that they have encountered also educate a room full of new potential customers!
