Entrepreneurial Businesses Fill the Chippewa Valley Innovation Center to Capacity

Posted by adminALT on July 25th, 2014

This month the Chippewa Valley Innovation Center (CVIC) has reached full capacity. CVIC’s goal is to contribute to the success of early-stage businesses by providing affordable facilities, equipment and adequate operating capital. The CVIC leases space for early-stage businesses seeking workspace, equipment or working capital.

Businesses located in the CVIC enjoy a host of benefits including flexible, low-cost building accommodations and shared amenities such as office equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks and compressed air. The Chippewa Valley Innovation Center currently holds 5 early-stage businesses. Each business utilizes CVIC services by consulting with their Board of Advisors. These boards share personal business experiences including progressions and shortfalls that come with owning start-ups. Managerial and technical assistance from local economic development agencies is also available.

Tenants also have access to CVIC’s loan program for funding proto-typing expenses, patents, proof of concept, and other assistance as needed.

Current Tenants in the Innovation Center:

  • Pop-A-Lock of the Chippewa Valley
  • DRL Design and Drafting
  • CBR Designs
  • XL Pontoons
  • River Outlook Ind.

The Chippewa Valley Innovation Center looks forward advancing these companies into strong new businesses that benefit our economy.
